During the late 60's and early 70's Nita and Tanya provided many social
opportunities for the New Bedford Cape Verdean community. They gave
"socials" at the Vets and local nightclubs and also fashion shows.
Nita is compiler's mother.
The below photo was taken at one such social event at the Vets.
Tanya is on the far left and her sister Nita is on the far right.
