Antonio was b. 1888, unknown parentage.    *****     do Rosario Obits 1883 - 1890, 148/98 he died at 12 months on 10/13/1889. 

People with no surnames
(1) MARIA - was b, in Sal in 1865, da Lapa Obits 1890-1901, 67/60, she died at age 32 in 1897, "filha de paes incognitas" / daughter of unknown parents. 
(2) JOANNA was b. in Boa Vista  around 1800, doR Obits 1883 - 90, 13/54, On 6/24/1883, Jose died at 60y, son of Joanna of Boa Vista.
(3)  Jose - same as above, was b. in Sao Nicolau around 1823, died at 60y

SOS ORPHANAGE in Assomada:

My mom went over to CV on the first TACV flight along with the CV's of Southern California.  While there they went to an orphanage and brought supplies. 

Later I wrote to the orphanage to see how I could help. I received this nice letter signed by Marcelino Rodrigues Fernandes.
