da Rosa - especially Benjamin da Rosa

 Nita Santos Haynes with Benny Rose.  Benny was a family friend & much admired.  I can only remember him coming to my house once & it was on Christmas 1972 & I will add the photo with a later edit.  I could not find this Benny Rose on Ancestry & wonder if Benny was his middle name.  

The Benjamin da Rosa / Rose that I did find were: 

Benjamin da Rosa  

b. 1890 in Portugal, he arrived on 1/10/1959 in Boston as shown on a Mass/US Arriving Passenger and Crew List (1820 - 1963).  Passport # 17535.  He lived at 32 Swan Street, East Providence.  He was 69 and flew in on PAA Flight #153.  

Benjamin Gomes da Rosa  

b 1871 in Fogo, married in NB on 5/24/1897 but wife not shown (request the marriage record from the Mass Archives).  

Ben Rose

Mass Death Records - died in Bourne, Mass on 2/14/1941.  US Find a Grave - is buried at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Falmouth.  

Benjamin Rosa - married in Medford, Mass in 1942 (from Mass Marriage Records) 

Benjamin Rose - 1940 Census, from Italy. 

Benjamin Rosa, 1900 Census, b. 11/1883 in Mass and lived on South Front Street in New Bedford, his parents were born in Portugal and he is listed as "white".  

Benjamin F. Rose - 3/16//1921 - 10/3/1973.  

In my Index I have: 

(1)  Benjamin Rose - b. 10/25/1886, WWI Draft Registration Card, 435 South Water Street, 32y, worked at Quissett Mill, his uncle is Antone Correa.  He registered on9/12/1918.  

(2)  Benny Rose - ? Father of Flip Rose & Bonita Rose?  ?Was his wife Barbara Oliveira Rose?  I have no source for this note.
